ORIGAMI

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding.  It is believed to have originated from China first or second A.D.  

Origami models all begin with a flat piece of  paper (usually a square) which is the base.  From which spectacular models can be produced.  All of this is achieved by just folding!  No cutting and sticking.

I began origami when I was 7 years old. My mother brought  a book for me, which at the time seemed complicated.  And one of the simplest models was the crane (see below).  I have really grown to enjoy the art, my favorite actually because the only material required is paper!
