PARCHMENT CRAFT
Parchment craft originates from Turkey. The starting material is a thick translucent sheet of parchment paper. Embossing changes the paper from translucent to an opaque white color. The paper is also pierced and cut to create patterns. It can be embellished in many different ways. Some of the mediums that have been used are ink, paint, oil pastels, color pastels, and computer prints.
I was introduced to this art by my mother who gave me a Parchment Craft Kit, I made some birthday cards and a gift box.
